Thanks to the support of donors and sponsors, we had the privilege of taking 13 students on a teamwork and leadership expedition to Algonquin Park, in July.

Over a few days, the experience had a meaningful impact. As part of their experience, we asked each student to reflect on what being a Future Ace Leader means to them. Here’s what they shared about themselves and the experience.
Alex | Grade 12
Alex loves playing volleyball and staying active with his team. He has a deep appreciation for music and enjoys movies that make him think deeply about life, people, and the world around him.
For Alex, being a Future Ace is about serving others, building meaningful connections, and maintaining a positive and open mindset for personal growth.
Alijah | Grade 9
Alijah is passionate about acting and bringing characters to life on stage. He’s also an avid basketball player, balancing his time between sports and his passion for reading fantasy novels.
For Alijah, being a Future Ace is about setting an example for future generations and recognizing that anyone has the ability to grow into a positive and powerful influence.
Aran | Grade 9
Aran enjoys adventures with a love for mountain bike racing and anything that gets his adrenaline pumping. He also loves playing on his PS5 and diving into exciting games.
To Aran, being a Future Ace means being kind, brave, and compassionate—a leader who works with others and supports friends along the way.
Aria | Grade 8
Aria loves bringing things to life, whether it’s through her art, in the kitchen, or in the garden. She enjoys spending her time growing fresh ingredients and turning them into delicious homemade meals.
For Aria, being a Future Ace means stepping up as a leader while embracing the opportunity to learn from the diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and values of others.
Dima | Grade 11
Dima balances his love for fitness with a strong creative streak. When he’s not at the gym, he enjoys drawing and finding new ways to express himself through art. He also loves to read, often getting lost in stories that inspire his imagination and creativity.
To Dima, being a Future Ace means staying true to yourself even in a complicated and unpredictable world.
Nico | Grade 11
Nico expresses themself through music, gardening, and watercolour painting. They love composing original pieces and playing instruments as a way to share their emotions and ideas.
For Nico, being a Future Ace means leading by example to create a ripple effect of positivity that inspires others to be their best selves.
Ricky | Grade 9
Ricky dedicates his spare time to playing guitar and piano. He’s deeply into jazz and loves producing his own music, constantly exploring new sounds and styles. When he’s not making music, Ricky enjoys mountain biking and being outdoors.
Ricky believes that being a Future Ace is more than a program—it’s a life-changing experience that challenges you to grow, push your limits, and be mindful of yourself and others.
Ryan | Grade 10
Ryan expresses himself through drawing and journaling. He balances his artistic side with a love for swimming, hitting the gym, and trying new foods. With a playlist for every mood, Ryan listens to all kinds of music, finding inspiration and energy in every beat.
For Ryan, being a Future Ace is about living with pride, optimism, and happiness—embracing life with a friendly and open heart.
Samuel | Grade 12
Samuel is passionate about Muay Thai, martial arts, and challenging his mind through chess. He’s committed to fitness and self-discipline, often spending time at the gym. With a strong interest in science and helping others, Samuel hopes to pursue a future career in medicine or become a doctor.
Samuel sees a Future Ace as someone who maintains a positive outlook, acts with courage and empathy, and chooses to do what’s right no matter the circumstances.
Serdar | Grade 11
Serdar finds joy in exploring the past and connecting it to the present. A true history buff, he enjoys diving into stories—whether through music, historical accounts, or powerful works of Turkish and English literature.Â
Serdar understands that being a Future Ace is about personal growth, seeing the good in every situation, and helping both yourself and others reach their highest potential.
Suriya | Grade 10
Suriya loves sports, especially soccer and squash. He enjoys spending time outdoors, whether he’s exploring nature or just taking in the fresh air. With phonk music always in his headphones, Suriya finds the perfect rhythm to match his adventurous and athletic lifestyle.
Suriya sees the Future Aces Creed as a guide to becoming the best version of himself—more confident, caring, and empathetic in everyday life.
Tharun | Grade 9
Tharun enjoys staying active through squash, soccer, and biking around his neighbourhood. He also has a passion for cooking and loves experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
Tharun believes that being a Future Ace is about having the courage to face life’s challenges head-on and daring to take bold steps forward.
Vincent | Grade 11
Vincent plays soccer, hockey, and regularly workouts at the gym. He enjoys listening to rap music and finds motivation and focus through its rhythm and lyrics. Vincent values quality time with his friends and family above all else.
To Vincent, being a Future Ace is about committing to daily self-improvement – whether in attitude, confidence, or character – and striving to reach your full potential over time.
